Pore clogging ingredients

Did you know that blackheads, whiteheads and break outs can be caused by the comedogenic oils and pore clogging ingredients found in skin care and cosmetic products?

You can find skin care products on the market that claim to be non-comedogenic, but you shouldn't rely on that. Skin care and cosmetics companies are not required to pass a test in order to claim their products as "non-comedogenic". They can use the term "non-comedogenic" on skin care labels without actually having tested the final formula for it's pore clogging potential.
Actually, many popular acne treatment products contain comedogenic ingredients!

So, if you have acne prone skin, try to check the ingredients label before you buy a skin care product, also don't forget to check the products you already use on a daily basis.

Here's a list of pore clogging ingredients:
The higher the number assigned to the ingredient, the more likely it is to clog your pores.
On the label, the ingredients are listed in order of relative amount, so the first ingredient listed has the largest amount in the product.
For example, if an ingredient with the coefficient "3" is listed sixth on the label you may not clog from it, but if it's the first or second listed ingredient you may clog up and the use of that product could impede your acne treatment and aggravate your acne.
